Built by a coach and his son
Dan and Cameron
LumaLanes is powered by two people who have lived in the pool—literally.
Dan Briggs is more than just a two-time National Coach of the Year nominee. He’s the founder of the Waukee High School swim program, which he started from the ground up. Under his leadership, the program became one of the most dominant in the state, eventually expanding to two high schools—both of which now rank swimming among their most successful sports. Over the years, Dan has coached eight state championship teams and helped shape the lives and futures of hundreds of swimmers.
His son, Cameron Briggs, swam competitively in high school and was a five-time All-American swimmer. His proudest swim was a 51.99 in the 100 backstroke. After graduating college in April 2025, Cameron combined his love for the sport with his entrepreneurial spirit to build LumaLanes alongside his dad.
Together, we’re not just creating pacing lights—we’re building a smarter, more inspiring future for swimmers and coaches around the world.
