Luma-Bundles: LumaBox + LumaLanes LED Strips + LumaWeights + LumaBag

I just recently finished a 30-day demo of the LumaLanes system after filling out the form on the webpage. We weren't sure about this pacing device from just reading the website, but liked the concept and thought if we had a chance to use it in-person we would be able to know if we really wanted to buy one or not.

That being said, these guys were great to work with. They were available when I needed help and I even called Cameron during practice once and he was able to troubleshoot through my problem over the phone and start the lights back up. We liked it so much we bought a 4-lane system.

We really like this product, but we are even more confident in LumaLanes knowing that they are there for us if we run into any problems in the future. I highly recommend LumaLanes to anyone in the swimming world.

My distance swimmers THRIVE with these lights. This is single-handedly the best way to help distance swimmers drop time, and LOTS of it. My distance swimmers worked up to being at their tapered times from last year during regular-season meets this year (untapered) in the middle of the season. By the time conference came around, they were already seconds faster than their PRs without a taper yet!

My sprinters, surprisingly, are also dropping just as aggressively! I was a little bit skeptical these would be that effective, but I couldn't be more satisfied.

I have thoroughly enjoyed having our LumaLanes system. My favorite thing to do with it is to help my swimmers gain 2 skills: 1) chase people down when behind and 2) not get chased down when leading.

I love to set the pace just barely faster than the swimmer can go and have them leave just barely earlier than the light starts. This creates a simulation of having a lead and not letting your competition catch you even though you can see them out of the corner of your eye.

I also enjoy setting the light slightly slower than the top speed I know my swimmers can go and have them leave the wall a second or two late. This focus helps them to imagine someone is ahead of them and they can "chase them down". Great skills to learn!

The possibilities of how to use this technology are much greater than what originally met my eye. I'm more and more impressed by this technology as time goes on.

I am a high school swim coach. We have morning practice every morning before school. Usually my swimmers are really dragging to get into the pool and less-than-excited to be in the water at 5:30am.

BUT ever since we got the LumaLanes system, my swimmers can't WAIT to get a chance to use it. My rule is that if it's not in the water by 5:30am then we don't get to use it at that practice. To my surprise, my athletes are now at practice 10 or 15 minutes early just to make sure it's in the water and they get to use it!

The excitement of all the swimmers asking me every morning if they can swim in the "LumaLanes lane" is rejuvenating! It's refreshing to have so much excitement about training, which until now has been very monotonous and dull.

The time drops we've seen from the system are the cherry on top. Between time drops and the culture of practices, it's totally worth the investment. My only regret is not getting this sooner.

I've had my swimmers training on this swim pacing system for months now and the main thing I've seen is my swimmers have learned how to dig deep on the last 25 more than ever.

Because the light stays a consistent speed the whole time, my swimmers will stay with the light or even be ahead of it by a yard or two at the beginning; by the end, usually the light has caught up with them and by this time they are very tired. Instead of them letting up at the end (like they ALWAYS did/do without the pacer lights (a coach's biggest pet peeve), they put their head down and give everything they've got, driving full speed into the wall. It's like every set in practice is a race for them and they and I LOVE it.
